Easter Holidays
Sunday April 5th
Dear Everyone
I hope all is well, I am really missing everyone and felt sad on Tuesday when we should have been celebrating with our Easter service. Hopefully you have all had plenty of work to keep you going over the last 2 weeks. I enjoyed my week in school with the key worker children although found Jo Wicks hard going!
Over the next two weeks my advice is to keep the routine going but also to remember that it is the Easter holidays and we all need a break too. I have a few suggestions to keep you going :-
1. Make a time capsule - we did this last and enjoyed writing a bit about ourselves and what is happening in the world right now. We put in interesting items and then buried our time capsule (biscuit tin) in the school grounds.
2. Create a bird feeder for the garden using recycled materials
3. In the summer term we will be reading two books for whole class guided reading. The first is Journey to Jo'burg by Beverly Naidoo and the second Kensuke's Kingdom by Michael Morpurgo. Both of these are available on Kindle. If we are not back in 2 weeks I will start to post ideas for work based on Journey to Jo'burg chapter by chapter. If you can manage to get a copy and start reading it it would be marvellous.
4. BBC bitesize are starting to put on daily lessons from Monday 20th April which will be high quality and differentiated for all ages.
5.. Enjoy some Easter arts and crafts - check out Twinkl for some great ideas.
Have a very Happy Easter
Keep Safe
