UPDATE Monday May 18, 2020
If you haven't already done so, please check out our new online learning app, "Seesaw". I add daily maths and English tasks to your child's activities, which I have tailored to your child's needs. I also add a range of other tasks, such as topic work and science investigations. All parents were emailed a link and joining instructions on 20 April. Please let me know if you did not receive these instructions. Please also let me know what you think of Seesaw, especially if you encounter any problems, and I will do my best to sort them out for you.
Please try to ensure that your child does a variety of different home learning tasks. I know that this is not easy, especially for those of you still working. As a rough guide, I suggest your child does daily reading, the weekly arithmetic and science activities, plus one English and one maths task per day. Lots of helping with household jobs (e.g. cooking, feeding pets), outdoor exercise and quality family time will also help to keep your child happy and engaged.
Thank you for your continued help in assisting your children with their learning. Stay safe, and I hope we will all be able to see other again in the not too distant future, because I miss you all!
NOTE: WHEN ASSISTING YOUR CHILD WITH A MATHS ACTIVITY, PLEASE TRY TO USE THE METHOD I HAVE SUGGESTED IN THE ACTIVITY. IF YOUR CHILD CAN'T REMEMBER HOW TO USE THIS METHOD, PLEASE REFER TO THE SCHOOL'S CALCULATION POLICY, AT THE FOOT OF THIS PAGE.
Please send me a Seesaw message or email if you would like further help with anything.
Best wishes from Mrs Workman and the Class Three TAs.
