Safeguarding

Safeguarding our children is central to our mission.  In our recent Ofsted survey 94% of parents said their children feel safe at the school, and 96% said their children are well looked after.  We listen to our pupils and take seriously what they tell us.

To promote a safe environment for pupils, every member of staff has a responsibility for health & safety.  As well as this we ensure the site is as safe as possible through regular health & safety inspections by our governors and the Local Authority, and the committed oversight of our site manager, Mr Andrews.  In our last Local Authority inspection we scored Grade A (Excellent).

The school’s behaviour policy is based on positive Christian values and praise, and we operate a variety of reward systems, including ‘Star of the Week’ . Bullying is taken very seriously.  Where children’s behaviour gives cause for concern, we work in partnership with parents to address this, and may impose sanctions according to the severity of the offence.
