Mrs Murty visits Weston Turville for World Book Day
We had a very special visitor on World Book Day this year. Mrs Akshata Murty, wife of the Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, visited our school, as part of her endeavour to see the very best of Buckinghamshire. Mrs Murty read one of her family favourites, The Gruffalo, to Class One in their natural habitat space outside. A grant secured through the Heart of Bucks supported the development of our Nature Reserve into an active outdoor learning space, and we were very proud to be able to show the results in such a special way. Mrs Murty is a natural storyteller and had the children - and adults - gripped!
