Music
There are lots of opportunities for the children to learn music in the school. All our children have class music lessons and in Year 3 they all learn how to play the recorder. Singing is popular and there are two choirs - the Pop Choir run by Mrs Hoodless and the Friday Choir run by Rev Susan.
Individual or small group music lessons are also run in the school by external (peripatetic) teachers. Instruments offered include piano, drums and guitar. These lessons are arranged privately by the teachers themselves or the Bucks Music Trust and are paid for by parents.
Recently we were visited by a music teacher who teaches strings - cello, violin and viola. She performed a concert for the children and talked to them about what it is like to learn an instrument. Parents who wish for their children to take up an instrument should contact the Bucks Music Trust at https://www.bucksmusic.org/
